MIKE: $40 a night for a hostel in Santa Monica?! We haven't even gotten to the States and we have already been robbed!
ZAN: Lol. From now on we are camping.
MIKE: I'll cancel the reservations and we can pitch a tent on Venice beach.
ZAN: Sounds good.
MIKE & ZAN: For anyone who wants to meet us at the airport we are leaving Sydney airport on the afternoon of Wednesday March 1st. And arriving in LA on the morning of Wednesday March 1st.
After spending a few days in Santa Monica we are heading down south to Dana Point to stay with some family friends. Next stop is San Francisco before heading east to check out Las Vegas, Colorado, Texas and eventually start our hike in Atlanta.

I can't believe you guys are leaving so soon,it seems like yesterday when Tinks came in and announced to all of the Vodafone crew that he was leaving for America...little did we realise, until he went into detail, that he was mad enough to take himself and his best mate, Zan, on a six month hike. Guys I wish you all the best, please keep this site updated cos we're all wanting to know that you're safe...and no bears are attacking you!! Stay safe guys! Love all the crew at Vodafone Hornsby!
